Elsa, a restaurant at the heart of nature…
An intimate venue nestled at the heart of the Monte-Carlo Beach, Relais & Châteaux, the restaurant Elsa is one of the Riviera’s hidden gems. Inside, the décor, designed by India Mahdavi, is elegant and timeless. The azure shades delicately bring to mind the contours of the Mediterranean coastline. From the terrace, time stands still for a delicious moment as the sea spreads before you as far as the eye can see. In the summer, you can choose to dine cocooned in the cool indoors or to sit out on the magnificent terrace beneath the stars.
With its sustainable fine dining, Elsa is an ode to the seasons, local produce and short supply chains; a restaurant inspired by nature, enhanced by delicate creativity. Conceived as a summer paradise, where the rhythm of your day follows the lapping of the waves, Elsa is inspired by the Mediterranean art of living, the surrounding pine forest and its unique ecosystem. Diners come to Elsa to enjoy refined cuisine with conviction, in a welcoming atmosphere.
Elsa is also awarded "Ethical and Environmental Responsibility Prize" by La Liste during the Special Mediterranean Awards 2023.
The menu, by Mélanie Serre, pays tribute to nature. The vegetables come from the Domaine d’Agerbol kitchen garden, high up in Roquebrune, and are accompanied by fish and meat chosen with consideration for the environment and animal welfare.
For Elsa, chef Melanie Serre was named “A Great of Tomorrow 2023” by the famous restaurant guide Gault & Millau. The restaurant was awarded a score of 15/20 and 3 toques.
After opening her own restaurant in Paris, Mélanie Serre considers this adventure a more personal challenge.
